Itinerary
- The night before, at 8:00 p.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you to the bus station, where you will board a first-class sleeper bus (with seats that recline 160°) bound for Puerto Maldonado.
- Upon your arrival, our team will welcome you with a tropical welcome drink and escort you to your private bungalow, surrounded by nature.
- We'll start with an introductory walk through the jungle, where you'll discover medicinal plants, exotic birds, interesting insects, and, with any luck, monkeys in the wild.
- Then you'll enjoy an adrenaline-filled adventure on our adventure course, which includes a zip line and a suspension bridge over the jungle.
- In the afternoon, after lunch, we’ll take a boat ride down the river in search of wildlife, taking in a magical Amazonian sunset. As night falls, we’ll set out under the stars in search of caimans and capybaras.
- At dawn, we’ll cruise downstream toward the Tambopata National Reserve. We’ll set out on a 3-km hike where you’ll be able to spot tropical birds, monkeys, and giant spiders.
We will arrive at the majestic Lake Sandoval, where we will board a rowboat to explore its calm waters, home to piranhas, turtles, butterflies, monkeys, and the Amazon giant otter, an endangered species. - In the afternoon, we'll return to the lodge to rest and enjoy dinner.
- The evening culminates with a bonfire in the middle of the jungle, accompanied by the sound of crickets, local stories, and a starry sky like no other.
- Very early in the morning, we’ll set off for the parrot and macaw clay lick, where dozens of brightly colored birds gather to feed on the clay.
You’ll get an up-close look at this natural ritual that combines color, sound, and pure energy. - Then we’ll enjoy a kayaking trip on the Tambopata River, paddling through stunning jungle scenery.
- In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax, and as night falls, we’ll go on a night hike to explore the mysterious world of the jungle under the moonlight: insects, amphibians, and nocturnal animals will accompany you on this fascinating experience.
- After breakfast, we’ll take a walk through our conservation forest, where you’ll see Brazil nut trees, a vital resource for many Amazonian communities. You’ll learn about sustainable harvesting and the benefits of this sacred fruit.
Along the way, you’ll be able to spot sloths, snakes, and tropical birds that inhabit the area. - Then we'll head back to the hostel to pack your bags and take you to the bus station.
- The return bus departs at 9:00 p.m. and arrives in Cusco in the morning. Our team will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in comfort.
